For the past five seasons, Titleist drivers have been the top choice among the world’s elite players on the PGA TOUR. Today, at the Memorial Tournament, Titleist takes another leap forward with the official unveiling of the next generation of its most popular driver on tour – the Titleist GT series.
The new Titleist GT2, GT3, and GT4 drivers, alongside the debuting Titleist GT fairway metals, mark the beginning of the tour seeding and validation process. This rollout, starting this week at Muirfield Village, will extend over the coming weeks across global professional tours.
Titleist’s commitment to excellence is evident in their collaboration with the game’s top players throughout the R&D process. This hands-on approach ensures that every piece of high-performance equipment receives the players’ final seal of approval.
“The entire [Titleist Golf Club R&D] team is deeply committed to perfection, with an unparalleled understanding of our needs on the PGA TOUR and the demands of golfers everywhere,” said Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron Young. “Their expertise is so extensive that there’s no challenge they can’t tackle, no detail too small. There’s always a solution to whatever we’re looking for.”
Over the next three days at the Memorial, Titleist Tour Representatives will work closely with players to fine-tune their setups with the new GT models and gather invaluable performance feedback. Thursday’s opening round will provide the first chance for these cutting-edge drivers to be put to the test in competition.
Titleist Dominance on Golf’s Biggest Stages
Since the 2018-19 season, coinciding with the launch of the Titleist Speed Project, Titleist drivers have maintained their position as the most played on the PGA TOUR. Just last week at the Canadian Open, 59 players opted for a Titleist driver, 25 more than the next closest competitor.
Among the top players currently relying on a Titleist driver are Ludvig Åberg, Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, Max Homa, Tom Kim, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Cameron Young, and Will Zalatoris. This list also includes the 2021 FedEx Cup champion, the 2022 U.S. Open champion, and the 2024 WM Phoenix Open champion.
Titleist’s dominance extends beyond the professional ranks to the game’s biggest amateur stages as well. At the recent NCAA Division I Men’s Championship, over half the field (51%) trusted a Titleist driver, including the individual champion. The Titleist driver was also the top choice at the NCAA Division I Women’s Championship (33%) and the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, where the champion used a Titleist.
